China and the U.S. have been each other's largest trading partner for years. But China lost its spot as the biggest exporter of goods to the U.S. last year, a result of President Trump's #trade #war. Geopolitical tensions flared up again amid the COVID-19 #pandemic. More uncertainty looms as the U.S. heads for November elections. What are the dangers in ties reaching a historic low between both countries? CGTN World Insight's Tian Wei talked to Thomas Friedman, a political commentator and columnist for the New York Times. He recently wrote in an article saying that for 40 years, the two countries had an unconscious economic coupling, but now China and America are heading toward divorce. How true is this?
